Johnny Mars – Blues and Black History

Johnny Mars is an accomplished American blues harmonica player, singer, and songwriter. Over a long international career, spanning over sixty years, he has worked with a wide range of top musicians including Earl Hooker, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Jesse Fuller, Spencer Davis, Ian Gillian and Bananarama.

This is a special event, as part of Black History Month, in which Johnny explores the history of the blues and the experience and struggle of black people in America. As well as being a great musician he is an immensely entertaining and engaging narrator and storyteller.

The Nailsea Folk Club are hosting this event which is being supported by Race Equality North Somerset and Nailsea Town Council.
